The warrant to search Prince's Paisley Park home and studio in the wake of his sudden death will remain sealed for at least six months, a judge ordered Thursday.
The order obtained by Lead Stories says the warrant obtained by the Carver County, Minnesota, sheriff will be locked away because making it public "could compromise" the probe "by causing the search or related searches to be unsuccessful, create a substantial risk of injury to an innocent person, or severely hamper this ongoing investigation."
Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud, who requested it be ket secret, provided a copy of the order to Lead Stories Thursday.

The order comes a day after media reports quoted unnamed law enforcement sources saying they found perception painkillers in Prince's possession in the elevator where he died on April 21.
It is not yet known if the painkillers played a role in his death. It will be weeks before toxicology tests results are available to show if he had any deadly levels of drugs in his blood or organs when he died.
