Update: Wilmette, Illinios police confirmed to Lead Stories Monday afternoon that they located Sinead O'Connor at 1:45 pm and she is safe. The "well-being" alert has been rescinded.

"She is safe and no longer listed as missing and in danger," police spokesman Fred King said.

Original report:

Irish singer Sinead O'Connor has been missing since Sunday morning when she was last seen riding on her motorized bicycle in Wilmette, Illinois -- a suburb of Chicago. The Willamette police provided Lead Stories with this "Check for Well-Being Alert" Monday morning.

"The Wilmette Police is seeking to check on the well-being of Sinead O'Connor. O'Connor reportedly left the Wilmette area for a bicycle ride yesterday at 6:00 am and has not returned. A caller has expressed concern for her well-being and no other information is available at this time."

No other details are being made public by police, although celebrity news website TMZ reported there was concern she was "suicidal."

O'Connor's Facebook page carries this last message, posted at 6 a.m. Sunday. It apparently is targeted at her oldest son, Jake.

O'Connor received medical help last November after writing a purported suicide note.

She is being sued by Arsenio Hall over comments she made about alleged drug use by the comedian and the late singer Prince last month.
