The wooden casket that held Cathriona White's remains rested on the shoulder of a grim-faced Jim Carrey for the final walk to her funeral in Ireland Saturday.
White, 30, died of a drug overdose in Los Angeles last month in what the coroner concluded was suicide.
Carrey, who was a pallbearer at White's Irish funeral, afterward tweeted a silhouette photo of the two of them with the message "Love cannot be lost."
Two farewell notes addressed to Carrey were found near her body in her Los Angeles home, along with three bottles of pills prescribed to the Carrey, 53, under an alias, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
A man Cathriona White met and married while working as a make up artist on a TV series claimed his wife's body from the Los Angeles County morgue Tuesday, eight days after she killed herself with an overdose of prescription drugs, Lead Stories has confirmed.
White is believed to have taken an overdose of several drugs that had been prescribed to Carrey under an alias, including the painkiller Percocet, insomnia treatment Ambien and the blood pressure medicine Propranolol, according to Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.
Carrey and White began an on-and-off relationship in 2012 that continued until just days before her body was found in her bed when concerned friends checked on her after not hearing from her for several days.
