The decision to publish the novel Harper Lee wrote before her "To Kill A Mockingbird" made fictional character Atticus Finch into a southern hero and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1960 has raised skepticism about the motives of Lee's trustees.

"Go Set a Watchman," which paints Finch as a segregationist and racists, was never published because Lee's publisher asked her to rewrite it, resulting in the 1960 version that won a Pulitzer Prize.

The Onion posted a satirical (yes, that's what they do) article titled: "Harper Lee Announces Third Novel, 'My Excellent Caretaker Deserves My Entire Fortune'"
