Drinkers at Universal theme parks in the United States and at stores in Europe and South America will be able to drink Homer Simpson's favorite brew starting next year, 21st Century Fox announced.

The company will launch Duff Beer first in Chile, where unauthorized versions have already been sold with some success until 21st Century Fox lawyers shut it down.

"Once you see enough piracy, you are faced with two choices," Jeffrey Godsick, president of the media company's consumer products division, told the Wall Street Journal. "One is deciding to fight it, and the other is deciding to go out [into the market] with it."

The beer will then roll out across South America and Europe, but American fans will have to visit the "Simpsons" section of Universal's theme parks in Orlando and Los Angeles to get it, Godsick said.

The packaging will be an exact replica of the cartoon version and will not refer to the animated show, the WSJ reported.
